Paul joined the laboratory in 1986 straight from school and trained as  an apprentice for five years before qualifying with  the National Diploma in Science (Dental Technology) BTEC in 1991 .

In 1997, Paul took over the laboratory and continues to run it today with a keen interest in taking on new and innovative tehcnologies.

Outside of work, he enjoys photography (way too many cameras and lenses!), Formula One, hill walking and Sci-Fi.

Though he’s best known to everyone here as Alf—joined our team in 2004. Alf actually started his career back in 1983, completing a thorough five-year apprenticeship before qualifying with a National Diploma in Dental Technology (BTEC) in 1989. Over the years, he’s honed his craft across several different dental laboratories, bringing a wealth of invaluable experience and knowledge to our bench.

Outside the Lab:

When he’s not crafting smiles, Alf is a massive motorbike enthusiast and a keen clay pigeon shooter. He’s also a big Formula One fan and loves getting outdoors whenever he gets the chance.

 Sarah joined the lab full-time in 2006 and is the friendly face (and voice!) who keeps everything running smoothly. As our main point of contact for practices and visitors, she handles the admin and even hits the road to collect and deliver work to our local clients.

Outside the Lab:

When she’s not managing the office or keeping the lads in check, Sarah loves getting creative in the kitchen and catching up on her favourite soap operas (much to the amusement of the rest of the team!). She’s also kept very busy walking her lovable—but ever so daft—German Shepherd!
